Long Beach State Athletics is looking for a group of dedicated, loyal fans to be part of the Beach Fan Council! This council will work closely with the Long Beach State Athletic Department to provide valuable feedback regarding the fan experience, game day environment, branding, tickets, and marketing efforts.
Our Mission
The Beach Fan Council is a group of loyal fans who provide feedback and new ideas to increase fan loyalty and attendance of Beach Athletics games and matches. Beach Athletics strives to build a first-class fan experience and takes the input received from fans very seriously. The Beach Fan Council formalizes this process and allows for direct contact between fans and the Long Beach State Athletic Department.
Members of the Fan Council
We are looking for a cross section of approximately 20 to 25 fans that represent the diversity the Long Beach community and sports fans. We're looking for fans that are committed to helping grow the passionate fan base of Long Beach State Athletics and are:
- Long-time fans of Long Beach State
- Season ticket holders
- Beach Athletic Club members
- Members of Student Organizations on campus
- Long Beach State Alumni or friends of the University
- Members of the Long Beach community
They will offer constructive feedback and provide a true reflection of what they see, hear and experience while attending Long Beach State games.
Required Commitment
Beach Fan Council Members will commit to being on the Council for the period of at least one fiscal year (July 1 through June 30). They will have access to email and the internet, enabling them to respond to occasional surveys and will have texting capacity on their mobile phone. While access to social media is preferred, it is not mandatory for membership on the Beach Fan Council.Information discussed in Fan Council meetings is considered confidential unless otherwise stated by Long Beach State Athletic Department staff. Fan Council Members will also be tasked to evaluate certain aspects of the Long Beach State Athletics operations or fan experiences throughout the year.
