Athletic Scholarship
According to NCAA Bylaw 15.02.5, "a full grant-in-aid is financial aid that consists of tuition and fees, room and board, and required course-related books." Expenses that a student-athlete receiving a full athletic grant-in-aid incurs outside of these are not covered. Examples of such expenses include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Courses taken at any institution other than Long Beach State
- Courses taken during the regular academic year (fall or spring) through CCPE (College of Continuing and Professional Education) at Long Beach State
- Library fines
- Replacement of lost/stolen residence hall keys
- Cost of damages to University property, including residence hall
- Supplies (i.e., pens, notebooks, paper, calculators, flash drive, art supplies, etc...)
- Parking fines
- Typing and copying costs
- Personal student health insurance
