The men's team was led by senior Cameron Gill, who bested his 8K best time by nearly 20 seconds in a strong race to finish in 20th overall and 13th among collegiate competitors. Cameron Rhone was next 46th overall, while junior Juan Flores and freshman Jonah Vasquez each also both set PRs in the meet, taking 93rd and 102nd respectively. A gap to the fifth finisher harmed the team finish for the Beach, but Lance Denhalter closed the top five for LBSU in 165th overall.

That helped the Beach take 9th place among the 22 teams competing in the race on the men's side.

Freshman Kendall Bawden repeated her same time down to the second from her last race, finishing at 21:39 to finish as the top runner Saturday for the Beach. Bawden placed 49th, four places in front of sophomore Darcy Ray in 53rd with a time of 21:43.1. Senior Brooke Willoughby was third for the Beach in 79th, with Sharice Laygo and Elisa Rodriguez rounding out the top five for the Beach. Overall, the women landed in 15th place, finishing in front of Stanford and Pacific.

The postseason begins in the next meet for the team, as the Beach will face the other programs in the Big West at the Big West Championships on Halloween, October 31. UC Riverside will host the meets at the UCR Ag/Ops Course in Riverside.
