Cammon will take over at Saint Mary’s after leading LBSU to back-to-back WNIT appearances.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – After six years at the head of the Long Beach State Women's Basketball program, Jeff Cammon has accepted the position of Head Coach with Saint Mary's Women's Basketball.

Cammon is coming off of his best season with the program, where the Beach went 23-10 and had a conference high 17 wins, finishing in second place behind UC Irvine in winning percentage. He leaves Long Beach State with an overall record of 84-90, having turned the program around and leading LBSU to back-to-back WNIT appearances.

"Jeff returned to Long Beach to guide the Women's Basketball program at a difficult time, and despite those challenges as well as those of the pandemic, built a program with a tremendous culture that has become one of the most successful in the Big West," said Interim Executive Director of Athletics Ted Kadowaki.

"All of us at the Beach wish him the best in his next step professionally, and we will turn towards finding a new leader who matches our values and will continue to build on the foundation that Jeff has created."

A search to find a replacement will begin immediately. Collegiate Sports Associates search firm has been engaged to assist with the process. Interest and recommendations should be directed to Jenna McLaughlin with Collegiate Sports Associates.
