Long Beach State men’s and women’s basketball are guaranteed at least 6 Big West games on linear television in the coming season.
LONG BEACH, Calif. – The Big West has announced two television packages for the upcoming season which will see Long Beach State prominently featured in the 2023-24 season.
For the second season, the Big West and Spectrum SportsNet have entered into a partnership that will see 15 total games simulcast on ESPN+ as well as Spectrum SportsNet. The local regional sports provider can be found on most cable packages.
Big West Announcement
The men's team will see the most games picked up as part of the package of any school, with four games guaranteed, two at home and two on the road. That will start with two straight games as the Dec. 30 home game from the Walter Pyramid against CSUN as well as the team's road contest at Cal Poly on January 4 were both selected as Spectrum SportsNet games.
The men's home game against Hawai'i on January 18 as well as the team's trip to UC Riverside on January 27 were also selected.
In Amy Wright's first season at the helm of the women's program, the Beach will feature in two of the five women's games selected for Spectrum SportsNet. Long Beach State's home games against UC Davis on February 15 and against Hawai'i on February 24 were both chosen featuring three of the most consistently competitive programs in the Big West.
Also announced earlier this year were the Wild Card dates for ESPNU. Men's Basketball will have the opportunity for any of the following dates to be flexed onto ESPNU for national broadcast: January 13 at UC Santa Barbara, February 1 at CSU Bakersfield, February 22 at home against the Runners, or the Black and Blue Rivalry matchup March 2 at UC Irvine.
All home games as well as all Big West games for both programs will continue to be broadcasted live on ESPN+ in addition to the above live television contests.
