IRVINE, Calif. – Long Beach State junior guard Shanaijah Davison was named to the Big West Preseason All-Conference Team as voted on by both the Big West coaches and select media.\
Davison begins her junior year at Beach after garnering All-Big West Honorable Mention status in both her freshman and sophomore season. She finished her sophomore year as the Beach's leading scorer with 14.0 point per game, while also leading the team with 48 steals.
Additionally, the Woodland, Calif., native posted 20 double-figure scoring games and seven 20-plus point performances including a career-high 34-point effort in the Beach's season opener against California Baptist.
Davison and the Beach, which were chosen to finish sixth in the Big West Preseason Media Poll and eighth in the coaches poll, will open the 2019-20 season on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at California Baptist in Riverside, Calif., at 5 p.m. LBSU's home opener will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9 against Westcliff at 1 p.m. for Homecoming at the Walter Pyramid.
