Beach Men’s Golf has added three new golfers in the 2019 signing class, welcoming Owen Avrit, Trip Morris and Isaac Rodea to the Beach.
LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach State head coach Michael Wilson has announced the signing of three golfers in the 2019 signing class, who have inked their National Letter of Intent to attend Long Beach State starting in the 2019-20 school year. The three incoming athletes are all Southern California natives who are staying local to play for the Beach. The incoming group is comprised of Owen Avrit from Arroyo Grande HS, Trip Morris from Notre Dame HS, and Isaac Rodea of Torrey Pines HS.
"We're excited to welcome Owen, Trip and Isaac to the Long Beach State Men's Golf family," said Wilson of his incoming class. "I'm confident that they will add to the competitive depth of our roster. These are great young men whose competitive nature and hard work ethic will have a tremendous impact on the future of LBSU Men's Golf."
Owen Avrit, Arroyo Grande High School (Arroyo Grande, Calif.)

Avrit comes to the Beach with a few tournament wins under his belt, taking first place at the 2018 Future Champions Golf (FCG) International Junior Championship and the FCG NorCal Championship. He also has runner-up finishes at the FCG World Series Santa Barbara, the FCG Memorial Day Championship, and the 2017 FCG National Tour Valley Open. Avrit was also a participant in the 2018 First Tee Open and claimed fourth place at the 2017 Junior Tour of Northern California (JTNC) Series III.
Trip Morris, Notre Dame High School (Studio City, Calif.)

Morris had his best finish at the 2018 Toyota Tour Cup Los Serranos, earning a second place finish in that event. He also had a fifth place finish at the 2018 American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) Mission Hills ClubCorp. Morris also represented Southern California in 2018 Eddie Hogan Cup matches.
Isaac Rodea, Torrey Pines High School (San Diego, Calif.)

Rodea also has a few tournament victories on his resume, claiming the top spot at the 2018 AJGA Carlton Oaks and at the 2018 SDJGA Golden State. He also has a pair of seventh place finishes at the 2018 FCG International Junior Championship and at the 2017 Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship. Like Morris, he was a participant in the 2018 Eddie Hogan Cup, representing San Diego.
