FIRST TEE
The Beach men's golf team travels to Fort Collins, Colo. for their second tournament of the fall season, taking part in the two-day, 54-hole Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State. First and second round actions is scheduled for Monday (Sept. 18) with a 7 a.m. (PT) shotgun start, while the final 18 holes is scheduled for Tuesday (Sept. 19) with tee times beginning at 7 a.m. (PT). All three rounds will take place at the par-70, 7,218-yard Fort Collins Country Club.
RAM MASTERS FIELD
The Beach will be among an 19-team field at the Ram Masters Invitational as the Beach will compete with the tournament host Colorado State, Air Force, Denver, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Illinois State, UMKC, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts, Pacific, Sam Houston State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, TCU, Utah Valley, Wichita State and Wyoming.
BEACH STARTING FIVE
Redshirt junior Joe Fryer (No. 1), junior Patrick Pockels (No. 2), junior Andres Gonzalez (No. 3), senior Nick Cantlay (No. 4) and sophomore Hunter Reed (No. 5) will represent the Beach.

LAST TIME OUT
The Beach is coming off from a third-place finish among 11 teams at the season-opening Itani Quality Homes Collegiate at Palouse Ridge Golf Club in Pullman, Wash. LBSU recorded a three-round score of 21-under-par 831 after posting rounds of 280, 274 and 277. Redshirt junior Joe Fryer was the top player for the Beach, tying for third among 68 players with a 9-under 204, following rounds of 68, 69 and 67.

WALKER CUP RETURNS TO VCC

WILSON NAMED HEAD COACH AT THE BEACH
Michael Wilson was named the new head men's golf coach this past summer, replacing Mickey Yokoi who retired after five years at the Beach. Wilson became the 11th head men's golf coach at the Beach, after spending the past three seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Washington. While at Washington, Wilson helped the Huskies improve their finish at the Pac-12 Championships in each of his three seasons, most recently tying for third place in 2016-17 as Wilson managed the team while head coach Alan Murray was home for the birth of his child. In each of his three seasons, Wilson helped Washington reach the NCAA Regionals, and the Huskies made an NCAA Championship appearance in 2015, finishing tied for 15th while Cheng-Tsung Pan finished as the individual runner-up.
BIG WEST CHAMPIONSHIP HEADS TO INDUSTRY HILLS
The 2018 Big West Conference Men's Golf Championship will take place at Industry Hills Golf Club in the City of Industry. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is slated to begin on Sunday, Apr. 29. The winning team receives the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament that begins on May 15-17 at six 54-hole regional sites.

The Beach returns to action on Monday, Oct. 16, for the two-day, 36-hole Bill Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Country Club in Simi Valley, Calif.
