
LBSU Beach Volleyball Takes Down Arizona State 4-1

Long Beach, Calif. - Long Beach State switched up the lineup, and the shakeup provided results as the Beach dropped Arizona State 4-1 on campus Friday.
The top two pairs for No. 6 Long Beach State (1-5) switched partners, as Nele Barber teamed with Rachel Nieto at No. 1, and Kobi Pekich played with Sammee Thomas on Friday, and both pairs picked up a win over Arizona State (3-4). Barber and Nieto won 21-15, 21-18 over Bianca Arellano and Whitney Follette, while Pekich and Thomas beat Kwin Johnson and Sydney Palmer 21-17, 21-11.
Moving up to No. 4, Megan Kruidhof and Morea Wagner continued their strong start to the season, picking up a 21-12, 21-18 win over Jourdan Parnell and Mia Rivera.
Making their Long Beach State Beach Volleyball debuts, junior transfer Ariana Garner and freshman Peyton Grahovac defeated Natalie Braun and Kylie Pickrell 21-18, 21-17 at No. 5, wrapping up the four wins the Beach grabbed on the day.
Madions Berridge and Bethany Wedepohl earned the only win of the day for the Sun Devils, taking the threes match 21-17, 21-12 over Ciana Wagner and Mykah Wilson.
Long Beach State will host one more match in their current homestand, playing their first ever Big West opponent as CSUN comes to the LBSU sand courts on Tuesday, March 15.
