LBSU In Fourth Place After Two Rounds At Cullum Invitational

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - After two rounds of play at the Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Country Club, Long Beach State finished the day in fourth-place on Monday evening.
LBSU posted a 288 score for both rounds for a total of even-576. The 49ers trail third-place Utah State (-7) by seven shots and eight strokes behind UC Irvine (-8) in second. UC Santa Barbara leads the field of 15 teams with an 22-over 554.
Sophomore Andres Gonzalez was the top player for the 49ers, tying for eighth with a 4-under 140 after carding rounds of 72 and 68.
Sophomore Hunter Reed is four shots behind after tying for 27th at even-144 (72-72), followed by senior Agostino Milazzo one stroke behind at 1-over 145 (72-73) to tie for 33rd.
Sophomore Patrick Pockels tied for 54th at 4-over (72-76) and redshirt sophomore Joe Fryer tied for 76th at 8-over (77-75).
Senior Tanner Dice, playing as an individual for the 49ers, tied for 69th at 7-over (75-76).
Jonah Texeira of USC, who is competing as an individual, sits on top of the leaderboard at 10-under 134, leading the field of 94 players by one shot.
Final round play concludes on Tuesday with a 7:45 a.m. (PT) shotgun start.
