Holen, Chian Named To The All-Big West Conference Team

IRVINE, Calif. - Long Beach State senior JJ Holen and junior Daniel Chian were named to the Big West Men's Golf All-Conference Team, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Holen was selected to the All-Big West Second Team, while Chian received honorable mention.
For Holen, this is his second consecutive year being named to the All-Big West team. The native from Castaic, Calif. was an honorable mention last season. Holen closed out his four-year career at the Beach last week at the Big West Conference Championship in San Luis Obispo. Holen finished the tournament with a strong performance tying for sixth place with a six-over-par 216 and leading LBSU to a four place tie.
For Chian, this is his second time being named to the All-Big West team since being named Big West Freshman of the Year in 2013. That same year, Chian was also selected to the All-Big West Second Team. The Covina, Calif. native was the top player for the 49ers in two of 11 tournaments this season, tying for 17th at the Bill Cullum Invitational and tied for third at the LBSU-hosted 19th Del Walker Intercollegiate at Virginia Country Club in Long Beach.
