
49ers Run To Fourth Place At Titan Invitational

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Long Beach State women's cross country team finished in fourth-place at the Titan Invitational on Friday afternoon at the Titan Track Complex on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.
LBSU collected 92 points in the 5,000-meter race. Loyola Marymount captured the team title with 40 points as the Lions held off second-place Biola (43) by three points and third-place Orange Coast College (90) by 50 points.
Sophomore Mikayla Florez led the way for the Beach, crossing the finish line in 18th in a time of 18:55.37.
Freshman Janet Salazar finished 10 seconds behind, placing 22nd with a personal best of 19:05.66.
Sophomore Alexandra Lathos finished in 45th (20:24.91), followed by freshman Gabrielle Schug in 55th (21:07.16) and junior Taylor Lorack in 62nd (21:54.47).
Freshman Katy Lynch placed 76th (23:05.84) and junior Lauren Bartsch finished in 81st (23:41.30).
Both men's and women's teams return to action on Saturday, Oct. 31, for the Big West Conference Championships at UC Riverside's Agricultural Operations Course in Riverside.
