Mandel, Nunez Compete At ISU Pre-National Invitational

Oct. 18, 2014 TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Long Beach State redshirt sophomore Pauline Mandel finished in 62nd place at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Mandel covered the women's 6,000-meter course in a time of 23:02.2.
Courtney Frerichs of UMKC led the 214 runners with a time of 20:55.5.
On the men's side, sophomore Emilio Nunez crossed the finish line in 90th in the men's 8K with a time of 26:29.2.
Sophomore Kevin Ramirez placed 173rd with a time of 28:01.3.
Luis Vargas of Elon led the pack of 193 runners with a time of 24:20.3
The 49ers return to action on Saturday, Nov. 1 as they compete in the Big West Conference Championships in Riverside.
