Men's golf signs Chian to National Letter of Intent

The 49er men's golf team will take part in their last regular season touranament before preparing for the Big West Confernce Championship in May.

LONG BEACH - Long Beach State Men's Golf has announced the signing of Daniel Chian (Covina, Calif./Los Altos HS) to a National Letter of Intent.

Chian recorded two top 10 finishes this year, as the Covina native tied for sixth place at the Western Junior Championships in Chicago, Ill., and tied for seventh at the Callaway Junior World of Golf Championship at Torrey Pines Golf Course. Chian also turned in one top 20 performance as he tied for 13th at the Junior PGA Championship at the Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon.

The future 49er is currently ranked 13th in the nation and third in the state of California. Chian is the younger brother of current junior men's golfer Philip Chian.
