Arcos places seventh at Titan Invitational

FULLERTON, Calif. - Raul Arcos finished in seventh place, pacing the Long Beach State men's cross country team at the Titan Invitational Friday evening at Cal State Fullerton. Arcos crossed the finish line with time of 24:54.0 as he was one of two runners representing the 49ers as individuals.
Naveed Kharrat completed the 8,000-meter men's course at 25:22.8, finishing in 20th.
On the women's side, LBSU was represented by three individuals. Kelly Caulfield was the top finisher for LBSU, finishing the 5,000-meter course in a time of 18:46.2 (28th).
Kirsten Neill finished in second for The Beach with a mark of 19:11.3 (43rd), followed by Kylee Martin at 19:18.3 (48th).
The 49ers return to action next Saturday (Oct. 30), for the Big West Conference Championships at UC Riverside. The women's 6K race is scheduled for an 8:45 a.m. start, while the men's 8K race will begin at 9:30 a.m. Both race will once again take place at UCR's Agricultural Operations Course.
