49ers Finish 14th At Callaway Golf Invitational
Lederer & Wood Tie For 30th Place

RANCHO SANTA FE, CA-- The Long Beach State men's golf team finished in 14th place at the Callaway Golf Invitational at The Farms Golf Club. The 49ers shot a 300 in Tuesday's third and final round to finish at 910. San Diego State won the team title with an 867 and the University of San Diego came in second at 874.

Leading the way for the 49ers were seniors Brett Lederer and Ryan Wood. Both tied for 30th place wtih a 222. Wood shot a two-under 70 on Tuesday to finish at 222 (75-77-70), while Lederer shot a 74 (71-77-74). Freshman Michael Drake tied for 38th place with a 225 (76-77-72). The overall winner was UC Davis' Louie Bishop who shot a seven-under 209 (68-73-68).

The 49ers will next be in action March 12-13 when they compete at The Triumph at Pauma Valley.
