Keller & Logeman Earn Academic Honor
July 17, 2006 LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State men's golfers Jeremy Keller and James Logeman were selected as Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars. Keller and Logeman are among 96 NCAA Division I men's golfers to receive the honor. The honors were announced by the Golf Coach's Association of America (GCAA). Keller was a junior this past season out of Las Vegas, NV. Logeman was a senior, hails from Oak Park, CA.
Only juniors and seniors are eligible to be a Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar and must have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average. In addition, golfers must have under a 76.0 stroke average for Division I.
Keller has been named to the 2005 and 2006 Big West Conference Spring All-Academic teams during his tenure at LBSU. This past season he competed in seven tournaments, tying for third place with a 213 (71-73-69) at the Gene Miranda Invitational in Colorado Springs, CO in the fall.
Logeman has been a three-time selection to the Big West Spring All-Academic Team and was a 2005 Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar. Logeman competed in nine tournaments this past year, tying for 12th at the Gene Miranda Invitational with a 220 (75-76-69).
