Lederer Qualifies for Public Links LONG BEACH, CA-- Long Beach State golfer Brett Lederer (Lakewood/Mayfair HS) has qualified for the U. S. Amateur Public Links Championship. Lederer was co-medalist at the Aguila Golf Course in Phoenix, AZ. Lederer was the first round leader in the 36-hole qualifying event after a 5-Under Par 67, and carded a 6-Under Par 66 in the second round for an 11-under par total. Lederer, who will enter his junior year in the fall, earned honorable mention All-Big West honors and finished tied for fourth at the Big West Championships. The last 49er to qualify for the APL was Torey Edwards in 2003. |
