49ers Tied For 2nd Place At Charlotte
Ryan Panichpakdee Tied For Third After Two Rounds

COONCORD, NC-- The 49ers men's golf team shot a 293 in the second round and is currently tied for second place at the 49er Collegiate Classic at the Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, NC. Long Beach shot a 601 in the two rounds and trails tournament leader Charlotte by 16 shots. The 49ers are tied for second with the University of Michigan. Jacksonville State is in fourth place one shot behind the 49ers and the Wolverines.

Charlotte, which is ranked No. 37 in the country this week by Golfweek Magazine, had three of the top six golfers after Monday's rounds. Roy Sheedy is in first place after shooting a three-under 141 (68-73). Leading the way for the No. 92-ranked 49ers of Long Beach were Ryan Panichpakdee and Ryan Ritter. Panichpakdee shot a three-over 147 (74-73) and is tied for third place overall. Ritter shot a five-over 149 (75-74) and is tied for seventh place. Brett Lederer came on strong in the second round. After shooting an 80 in the opening round, he came back with a one-under 71 and is tied for 17th place with a 151.

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
