Beach Finishes 7th At U.S. Intercollegiate
Jeremy Keller Ties For 6th Place With A 211
April 18, 2004 STANFORD, CA--The 49er men's golf team finished in seventh place at the U.S. Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, CA. The Beach shot an 873 (289-292-292) on the par 71 course. UCLA won the team title with an 838 and San Diego State came in second at 855.
Individually, Jeremy Keller tied for sixth place with a two-under-par 211 (70-70-71). Todd Saukkola tied for 24th place at 218 (74-70-74) and Brett Lederer tied for 49th place with a 225 (73-79-73). San Diego State's Aaron Goldberg won the individual title with an eight-under-par 205 (68-70-67).
"I was very pleased with our performance this weekend," said Head Coach Bob Livingstone. "Our goal at the beginning of the season was to make it to the NCAA Regionals, and we should have wrapped that up today. We'll take a couple of day offs and then start getting ready for the Big West Championships."
The 49ers will next be in action at the Big West Conference Championships, April 26-27 in Mission Viejo, CA.
