49ers In 7th Place At Northridge Tournament
Brett Lederer and Nick Badel Tied For 17th At 145

SIMI VALLEY, CA-- After two rounds of the Bill Cullum/Countrywide Home Loans Intercollegiate at Wood Ranch Golf Club in Simi Valley, the Long Beach State men's golf team is in seventh place after shooting a two-round score of 585. Cal State Stanislaus leads the tournament thus far with a 572, with New Mexico State in second with a 575.

Individually, redshirt freshmen Brett Lederer and Nick Badel are tied for 17th place with a one-over-par 145. Badel is competing as an individual in the tournament and his scores will not count to the overall team score for the 49ers. Torey Edwards and Todd Saukkola are right behind them as they both shot a two-over-par 146. Tied for the individual lead are Ryan Chornberry (CS Stanislaus) and Ryan Dwight (Cal Poly), who both stand at six-under par (138).

The tournament concludes with 18 holes on Tuesday.
