FRESNO, CA--The Long Beach State men's golf team is in 13th place out of 15 teams after two rounds of the Fresno Lexus Golf Classic at Belmont Country Club in Fresno. The 49ers shot a 581 over the two rounds and trail tournament leader Colorado State by 29 shots. CSU shot a 552 (281-271) to take the day one lead, while BYU is second at 555 and San Diego State third at 557.

Individually, sophomore Ryan Ritter had a strong day as he is tied for eighth place overall with a four-under-par 140 (72-68). Todd Saukkola is tied for 47th place with a 146 (73-73) and Nick Badelis tied for 52nd with a 147 (74-73). UTEP's James Allenby is in first place after shooting an 11-under-par 133 (67-66).
