Stanford Brewer
- Induction:
- 2015
Brewer spent two years at the Beach, playing wide receiver in football for the 49ers. Playing in all 22 games over those two years, Brewer finished with 32 receptions and 16 carries while competing over the 1974 and 1975 seasons. Brewer piled up 706 total receiving yards over those two seasons, and scored seven touchdowns as a 49er. A member of one of Long Beach State's most successful teams, Brewer's 49ers went 9-2 in 1975, tying the school's record for wins in a season.
It can be argued that Brewer was even more successful on the track. A sprinter that also competed in the long jump, Brewer ran both the 100m and 200m sprints, and qualified for the 1976 NCAA Championships as part of the 4x100m relay team.
