Shawn Wilbourn
- Induction:
- 2013
A tremendous two-sport athlete, Wilbourn was a standout both in track and field and in football for Long Beach State. Wilbourn led the 1990 football team with 96 tackles from the defensive backfield with the 49ers. Wilbourn was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, becoming the final 49er to be drafted by the NFL directly from Long Beach State. His all-around athleticism was perhaps showcased best in track and field, where he finished in second place at the Big West Championships in the Decathlon with a score of 7,148, a mark that stood as Long Beach State's decathlon for 15 years.
