- Induction:
- 2013
Seth Greenberg remains one of Long Beach State's most successful Men's Basketball coaches, having taken the 49ers to two NCAA appearances and posting a 105-70 record as head coach in six seasons at Long Beach State. Greenberg took the helm of the Long Beach State program in 1990 following the departure of Joe Harrington, and won at least 17 games in his final five seasons as head coach. Greenberg led the 49ers to NCAA tournament trips in 1992-93 and 1994-95, and guided Long Beach State to a Big West Championship in the 1995-96 season. Among his charges were 49er greats and long-time NBA players Bryon Russell and Lucious Harris. Following his time at Long Beach State, Greenberg went on to coaching stints with South Florida and Virginia Tech before moving to ESPN as an analyst.
