Ron Crawford

More than 60 athletes from the university have competed in the Olympic Games. Crawford participated in three. He was a member of U.S. Water Polo teams in 1960, 1964 and 1968. During that period, Crawford was regarded as the No. 1 water polo player in the U.S. Crawford enrolled at LBSU after his first Olympiad and was a two-time All-American (1962, 1963). In addition to All-America and Olympic honors, Crawford was a nine-time AAU All-America and two-time Pan American Games Participant. He was inducted into the National Water Polo Hall of Fame in 1977 and was the first American to be inducted into the International Hall of Fame in 1983.
