Rick Bryson
- Induction:
- 1997
Few people have had a more passionate relationship with the school's athletic programs than Bryson. As an athlete, he batted .350 and led the team in stolen bases in 1964 when the 49ers captured the school's first baseball conference championship and then was a key defensive back and punt returner on the magical 1965 49er football team that won nine of 10 games. He played baseball for three seasons, football for two. His efforts on behalf of the 49ers in the past 15 years upon his induction have been most impressive. Bryson, who was the president and CEO of Price, Raffell and Brown, donated more than $50,000 to the 49er Foundationa and has been responsible for raising over $200,000. He was also the chairman of the 49ers' annual fund drive for athletics.
