Finished seventh at both the 1981 and 1982 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the shot put to earn first team All-America honors while attending Long Beach State...competed in four Olympic Games for the U.S. with her best finish being ninth at the 1996 Games in the shot put...she set the American record in the indoor and outdoor shot put events during the early part of the 21st Century...she worked at Kent State University for three years, two as a volunteer track & field coach, working with the throwers, and the final year as assistant facilities manager...prior to that she was an assistant track & field coach at San Diego Mesa College, and was also an assistant at Radford University.
