Penny Toler
- Induction:
- 1995
A member of two Final Four teams in 1987 and 1988, Toler was a two-time All-American for Joan Bonvicini and the 49ers. She was also a two-time Pacific Coast Athletic Association Player of the Year, racking up 2193 points, a 21.7 scoring average, 933 field goals, 326 free throws and 230 steals. All of those numbers rank in the top-five all-time, while the guard's flashy passing gave her a school-record 513 assists and a school-best .795 shooting percentage from the charity stripe. She is one of three 49ers to scored over 2,000 points in her career and went on to become the General Manager of the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA. Her No. 4 jersey along with teammate Cindy Brown's were retired in a ceremony on January 27, 2007.
