Nichelle Burton

A four-year letterwinner (1991-94) on the 49er women’s volleyball squad, Nichelle Burton was a two-time first team AVCA All-America selection (1993, 1994). Burton, who was a second team All-America pick as a sophomore in 1992, was also a three-time first team All-Big West Conference selection, as well as being named the league’s Player of the Year in 1994. Burton ranks fourth all-time at LBSU with 1,381 kills, fourth in digs with 1,057 and fifth in career hitting percentage at .324. her 535 kills as a senior in the 1994 campaign ranks as the eighth-best single season performance. Burton was a key member of the 1993 squad which captured the NCAA Championship.
