Millie Stanley

There's only one Millie Stanley. She was 47 when she enrolled at Long Beach State. As a member of the 49er golf team, Millie qualified for the national collegiate championships four years in a row. During her last season with the 49ers, Millie served as player-coach, something that would be impossible now, by NCAA rule. Millie coached the 49er women for four years and was chosen Western Collegiate Coach of the Year in 1984. In 1983, Millie raised $60,000 to establish the Millie Stanley Golf Foundation, which provided support to the 49ers. Millie's amateur accomplishments are massive upon her induction: five Long Beach Championships; two Los Angeles Championships; three SoCal Publinx Championships, and eight SoCal senior titles.
