Lorie Lindahl

Lindahl was a member of the first 49er women's volleyball and basketball teams. It was her play that led the 49ers to the first Soutehrn California Collegiate basketball title in the school's history in 1963. After leaving LBSU, Lindahl played AAU basketball for 10 years, earning All-America recognition three times. In 1966 she played for the U.S. in an exhibition game against Russia and in 1967, she was a member of the U.S. team that played in the world championships in Czechoslovakia. A physical education major at Long Beach State, Lindahl coached girls basketball at Jordan High. She passed away in December, 2005.
