Le'gretta Hinds

Simply put, Le'Gretta Hinds was the best female hurdler in Long Beach State history. Running for the 49ers from 1992 to 1996, Hinds was a three-time Big West Champion in the 400 hurdles, her signature event, and also medaled three times in the 100M hurdles. Reaching the National Championship in both events three times, Hinds was a two-time All-American in the 400M hurdles, posting a time of 57.58 in 1995 as a senior. That mark was just .05 hundredths of a second behind her personal best of 57.53, which still stands as the Long Beach State record. Her time of 13.49 in the 100M hurdles is also a Long Beach State record, and Hinds remains one of just four 49ers to ever record a time under 60 seconds in the 400M hurdles.
