LaTaunya Pollard

If you want to discuss scorers, start with LaTaunya. During her 49er career, she scored 3,001 points. She averaged 30 points a game as a senior and was voted the Wade Trophy, which is given annually to the outstanding woman player of the year. Pollard was a three-time All-American. She was also a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team which boycotted the Moscow Games. After completing her eligibility, she played professionally in Europe. She also served as an assistant on the 49er women's basketball team in the mid 1980's.
