Keith Goldie
- Induction:
- 2015
Goldie came to Long Beach State after spending two years at Chaffey College, and the track star immediately impressed. Continuing to improve during his time at Long Beach State, Goldie qualified for the 1975 NCAA Championships. Hosted by BYU, Goldie became the first individual champion at the Division I level at the 1975 championship, recording a 250'2" throw to capture the NCAA title as a senior. That mark would still stand as the Long Beach State record 40 years later if recorded with the current javelin, which was instituted in 1986.
