Jack Shainline was the Vice President for Student Services at Long Beach State for 24 years, from 1996-1989...he served numerous years as the Chairman on the Advisory Committee on Athletics and on the Student Affairs Committee, just to name a few...was instrumental in founding the CSULB Disabled Student Services Program and was a prime mover to provide specialized services for Veterans on campus...worked at Gettysburg College from 1948-1965, serving as the Associate Dean of Admissions from 1955-57 and as the first Dean of Students at Gettysburg from 1957-65...also coached football and wrestling at Gettysburg.
