As a senior in 1995, Gonzalez was named second team All-America by the Smith Super Team and third team by Collegiate Baseball... in 1994 Gonzalez was a third team All-America pick by Collegiate Baseball... was a two-time first team All-Big West pick (1993, 1995) and a second team selection in 1994... is the 49er career leader in saves with 46 and his 121 career appearances also ranks first... appeared in a school-record 39 games as a senior in 1995 and picked up 20 saves... had a 3.31 ERA and 83 strikeouts in 68.0 IP...as a junior in 1994, the leftie was 4-2 and 12 saves with a 1.24 ERA in 28 appearances... had 13 saves in 1993 as a junior... was drafted in the 16th round of the 1995 MLB draft by the Florida Marlins... graduated in 1996 with a degree in Business Finance.
