Frank Addleman

Frank Addleman wrestled for the 49ers in the early 1960's, going undefeated in duel meets for two consecutive seasons, 1960 and 1961. He qualified for the Olympic Games in 1960, and qualified for the NCAA meet in 1961, after placing third in the Pacific Coast Conference, one year after placing second in the PCC. He also won the A.A.U. Western Regional Championship in 1961. He went on to start wrestling programs at Corona del Mar High School and Santa Ana College, where he taught from 1965-1982. He coached Santa Ana College to the state title in 1974, and in his tenure, coached 35 All-Americans, and seven wrestlers who went on to win NCAA individual titles. He was a professor emeritus at Santa Ana College, and an expert in Sports Nutrition. Addleman was the third 49er wrestler to be inducted into the 49er Hall of Fame.
