Doug Kimbell
- Induction:
- 1993
Kimbell is a water polo player - a very tall (6-foot-8) water polo player. And he's good enough to have been on the last two U.S. Olympic teams, squads that finished second (1988) and fourth (1992). That part of his polo career - the Olympics - began seven years after a one-season stint at Long Beach State (1981), when he was the most valuable player in the PCAA while leading the 49ers to a second-place finish in the NCAA Tournament.
