Dodge Parker

Parker was the standout on the 1973 Long Beach State volleyball team that lost to San Diego State in the NCAA Finals. A two-time All-American for the 49ers, Parker was a sensational club and professional volleyball player following his collegiate career. Playing in the International Volleyball League, Parker was a four-time All-IVA selection and its Most Valuable Player in 1976 and its Coach of the Year in 1977. Parker died of a heart attack at age 29.
