Dan Bunz

As a footbal player, Dan Bunz was a 49er through and through. After completing a specactular career at Long Beach State where he led the 49ers in tackles for three seasons, he was a first round choice of the San Francisco 49ers. As a linebacker for the NFL 49ers, Bunz played in two Super Bowls. In the 1981 Super Bowl, Bunz' tackle of Cincinnati running back Charles Alexander at the 1-yard line secured a victory for the 49ers. After being released by the 49ers, Bunz played the 1985 for Detroit before retiring.
