Bobby Crosby

The 2004 American League Rookie of the Year with the Oakland Athletics, Crosby was a three-year letterwinner for the 49ers (1999-2001). A leader on and off the field, Crosby was the 2001 Big West Player of the Year and was a third team All-American as named by Collegiate Baseball. His junior season at LBSU saw the star shortstop bat .353 with nine homers, 39 RBI and earning all-tournament honors at the Stanford Regional. Crosby was named first team All-Big West in 2000 and 2001 and second team in 1999. A first round pick of the A's in 2001 (25th overall), Crosby finished his 49er career fourth all-time in home runs (21), fifth in starts, seventh in hits (206), eighth in total bases (289) and fourth in hit by pitches. He had a .412 on-base percentage and a .324 average and he is one of just four 49er baseball players to be named all-conference three times. Crosby also represented the USA in the summer of 2000 as he was the starting shortstop for Team USA.
