Bob Horn and water polo have been together for a long, long time. Since 1949, in fact. Two of those years were as a player, at Long Beach State (1957-58) where he was an All-American. As a player, Horn represented the United States in two Olympics in 1956 and 1960. As a coach, Horn served on the staffs at numerous Pan American and World University Games. It was a Horn-coached UCLA team the won the first-ever NCAA Championship in 1969. Horn continued to coach the Bruins into the 1980's.
