One of the top hammer throwers in the country...competed at the 1984 Olympics and finished in fifth place, the highest finish of any American...threw a career-best 255’...holds the 49er school record at 235’7”...was a three-time first team All-American while at LBSU...he finished fifth in the country at the 1981 NCAA Meet, fourth in 1982 and fourth in 1983...was the U.S. Champion three times in the hammer and is credited with a resurgence in the sport.
