"Big Ben" was once called by his Coach, Dave Curry "Ben is the fastest big man I have been around and he can play on both sides of the football. God has given him what most athletes drame of-- size, speed and strength." Rudolph was a mainstay on the 49ers 1980 Pacific Coast Athletic Association championship team. A defensive tackle for the 49ers, Rudolph led the 49ers in quarterback sacks (seven and 12) in each of his two seasons. He was a first team All-PCAA his senior season. Rudolph was a third-round pick of the New York Jets and played seven seasons in the NFL.
