Inducted into the USVBA Hall of Fame in 1976, Perry was a three-time all-conference selection on 49er teams that won one Southern California title and were runners-up twice. Her skills brought her All-America recognition in collegiate and open competition 13 times. Perry also played on the 1968 Olympic team, the 1967 and 1971 Pan American teams and 1967 and 1970 World Game teams. She also played professionally for three years, leading the Los Angeles Stars to the championship in 1975.
