One of the signature players in Long Beach's premier volleyball program, White started as a sophomore on the 49ers first NCAA Championship team in 1989 and was a starter again on the 1990 team that reached the NCAA Title game. In 1991, was was chosen National Collegaite Player of the Year. During her three-year career at Long Beach State, White was instrumental in the 49ers winning 86 of 101 matches. White set the school-record for aces (208) was third in kills (1717). She went on to play professionally in Europe.
