Internationally, Anita Miller Huntsman made quite a name for herself as an athlete, playing on the United States National Field Hockey team for 11 years. Twice she was on the U.S. Olympic team and she was a member of the 1979 world championship team. But, at Long Beach State, she made her mark as a coach, directing the 1979 field hockey team to an 18-2-2 record and an AIAW national title.
