The Long Beach State women's soccer team has played its home games at George Allen Field since the institution of the program.

Located on the northeast corner of the LBSU campus, George Allen Field was dedicated in August of 1991 after legendary NFL football coach George Allen led the 1990 Long Beach State football team to its first winning season in four years, a 6-5 overall record and an undefeated 6-0 home record.

Allen coached the Los Angeles Rams from 1966-1970 and the Washington Redskins from 1971-1977, including an appearance in Super Bowl VII. He also coached the Chicago Blitz and the Arizona Wranglers of the United States Football League. A masterful motivational speaker, Allen never had a losing season in 14 years of coaching professional football.

Numerous improvements have been made since women's soccer has called George Allen Field home since thre program returned in 1998.

In 2011, seven new Musco light towers were installed, reaching a height of 85-feet enabling the Beach to host night games for the first time in program history.  LBSU defeated visiting University of Arizona, 2-1 in a thrilling overtime win in the first official night game for the Beach at George Allen Field.  Also, a new Daktronics scoreboard was installed at the northeast corner of the field, thanks in part to a generous donation made by Patricia Fujimoto in honor of her late husband and longtime LBSU supporter Al Fujimoto.

In 2015, the Beach drew a record crowd of 2,232 spectators versus Pac-12 Conference power UCLA, as Long Beach State defeated the No. 4 Bruins, 1-0, in the season-opener for both teams, breaking the previous mark of 1,304 against Big West Conference rival UC Irvine in 2012. Four years later, on Aug. 25, 2019, the Beach set a new attendance record with a crowd of 2,303 as Long Beach State hosted No. 4 UCLA for its season opener.
