LBSU Athletics To Create "Courtside Sand Bar" Within Walter Pyramid

Oct. 23, 2017

Long Beach, Calif. - The Courtside Sand Bar presented by Ballast Point will be a novel VIP experience within the Walter Pyramid, allowing a great view of the action within the Walter Pyramid while also offering premium food and beverage options unavailable anywhere else in the building.

"We are excited to provide this unique in-game experience," said Athletics Director Andy Fee. "We're striving to enhance our fan experience and this is a big step in that direction.

"Our goal is to deliver the best atmosphere possible, and we have heard fans asking for this type of access and premium seating opportunity."

Located on the baseline underneath the scoreboard, Long Beach State has partnered with Ballast Point and Legends to create an experience unlike any in college basketball. With craft brews, premium wine and food catered by Legends available for purchase, the Courtside Sand Bar will be a great spot to both watch Long Beach State athletics as well as enjoy a great time. The Courtside Sand Bar will be available at all men's basketball games as well as for other selected events within the Walter Pyramid.

Admission is free to Beach Athletic Club members within the Director's Circle level of giving at $5000 or above annually. Access does not replace a game ticket, so Director's Circle members need to have season tickets to have access to the Courtside Sand Bar.

Additionally, 16 new season tickets are available inside the VIP area itself. These seats will be along the front side of the enclosed area along the baseline, and will have tables to be able to watch the game while enjoying the other benefits within the Courtside Sand Bar.

Purchased access into the Courtside Sand Bar outside of Beach Athletic Club membership is only available through group sales.
